Christine & Jenny - finalists for "Entrepreneur of the Year" at Fusion 2014!

Today started out as a normal Monday in the office. Until I opened an email this afternoon that started with ...

"We are writing to congratulate you as a finalist of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award at this year's Fusion event."

OMG! I read on to discover that unbeknown to us we had been nominated for the award, and then shortlisted as finalists!

Fusion (www.thefusionawards.co.uk) aims to reward community groups and individuals of all backgrounds and cultures as well business and sporting talent across the North West.

Our fellow finalists in the Entrepreneur of the Year category are:

  • Sabiha Patel - Simply Chocolicious, a gourmet chocolate company that makes delicious chocolates and puddings that are munched by people all over the world - yummy!
  • Bobby & Danny Singh - Mr Mobile (www.mrmobileuk.com), a wholesale mobile phone accessory business that started as a market stall in Manchester and that last year turned over £1.5million!
  • Jennifer Gosling and Shaun Buck - Laundry Smart (www.laundrysmart.co.uk), a specialist Laundry, Ironing and Dry cleaning business built around a free collection and delivery basis with times to suit all - we like the sound of that!

The winner will be chosen by The Fusion Awards panel of judges and announced at the Fusion 2014 Awards ceremony on 24 May 2014. A full list of finalists for the Fusion Awards 2014 for all award categories is available on Asian Image and we'd like to wish everyone the best of luck!

We're still reeling with shock and totally overwhelmed by the well wishes from our customers and other friends on Facebook - a huge thank you to everyone for your kind words!

We still can't quite believe that we have been nominated for an award for just doing something that we love! We launched Charley Chau in 2010 for fun, a quirky little hobby, and what followed has been life changing. We've been so incredibly lucky to have such fantastic support from so many amazing people along the way - Charley Chau would not be what it is without you so thank you!
