Double Rattan Dog Basket & Mattress Set - Round

Our Round Double Rattan Dog Basket is a beautiful piece of furniture in its own right and currently available with 20% off when ordered with a mattress! 

This beautiful round rattan basket is woven with a “double skin” construction - a double-walled frame of rattan core which is woven with split rattan by skilled craftsmen to the highest standards. We use around double the rattan that would normally go into standard dog basket and it can be felt in the weight.

This basket is also woven so that the base on which the mattress sits is raised off the floor to help with air flow and to prevent damp from forming on the underside of your dog’s mattress. Particularly great for cold floor surfaces such as stone and ceramic tiles.

We love Rattan at Charley Chau - it’s a fabulous natural cane that is strong, flexible and more robust and durable than the Willow traditionally used in European wicker basketry.

The Round Double Rattan Dog Basket is available as a set with our deep-filled Round Mattress which sits high inside the basket so that your dog can sink down into a gorgeously supportive mattress for a seriously comfy snooze. The outer cover is a fabulous upholstery quality fabric, Cosmo, which has the feel of soft, brushed cotton and is available in Fern or Elephant.  

As you would expect from Charley Chau, the mattress is designed to stay soft and supportive over time even after washing, and the cover is fully removable and both the cover and mattress insert are machine washable.

This Luxury Double Rattan Dog Basket is made to the highest standards and designed to perform over time but it is not suitable for dogs that like to chew sticks or furniture. 

Materials and Composition

Luxury Rattan Peel Basket: woven with 100% natural Rattan Peel and Rattan Canes. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Can be rinsed with cold-warm water if necessary and air-dried thoroughly before use.

Round Deep-Filled Mattress Outer Cover: Cosmo, an upholstery quality fabric that is a 50/50% cotton and polyester blend. 

Waterproof Bed Liner: soft breathable ,100% PU backed polyester (our fabric is most commonly used to make human pillow protectors in clinical healthcare settings).  

Deep-Filled Luxury Mattress Pad: has a 60/40% polycotton outer casing and is filled with 100% polyester hollowfibre (commonly found in human anti-allergy pillows).
