Charley Chau Snuggle Beds are perfect for any dog that loves to tunnel and sleep under blankets, with a cosy faux-fur fleece lined pocket that your dog can climb into to keep snug and warm even when you're not home to tuck them in. The Snuggle Bed is particularly brilliant for Terriers, Hounds and Sighthounds, and any dog that has instinct to poke their nose under blankets or duvets.

  • Weave is an upholstery grade fabric - soft and fluid to touch but robust enough to cover human sofas and armchairs.
  • Our Classic Snuggle Dog Bed is lined inside with Charley Chau's exclusive Faux-Fur Fleece, knitted specially for us in the UK - super-soft and warm but breathable and moisture-wicking too.
  • Deep-filled luxury mattress makes the bed suitable for use directly on the floor and its constructed with internal wall panels to stop the fibre filling from clumping so that the mattress stays soft and supportive over time - even after washing.
  • Fully removable outer cover and machine washable everything, including the mattress.
  • Made in England with love.

If your dog is a persistent scrabbler then we recommend that you choose a Snuggle Bed in an alternative fabric such as Cotton, Velour or Faroe. Weave is a very robust upholstery quality fabric that almost all of our canine customers are 100% fine with but it is a woven fabric with a relatively loose weave and can be susceptible to being ""pulled"" by persistent scrabblers

We are discontinuing our beautiful Weave fabric, but the good news is we have a stunning Weave Mk. II coming later in 2024! Once our existing stock of Weave Snuggle Beds is sold, there will be no more until we launch our new collection in 2024.

  • Small - approx. 65x55cm - a good size for Chihuahuas, small Mini-Dachshunds, small Italian Greyhounds, and very tiny Jack Russells

  • Medium - approx. 80x60cm - a good size for Boston Terriers, French Bulldogs, Pugs, most Jack Russells, Mini-Dachshunds and taller Italian Greyhounds

  • Large - approx. 100x80cm - a good size for Whippets, Working Cocker Spaniels, Standard Dachshunds, small Lurchers & Hungarian Vizslas

Please allow slightly more room for your dog when choosing a Snuggle Bed as Snuggle Beds need to be slightly larger than a standard dog bed that a dog would lie on top of because of the stitched in blanket top.

  • Snuggle Bed Outer Cover in Weave - simple, understated style with this beautiful upholstery fabric in gorgeous neutral tones. With a Martindale Rub Test of 34,000 (suitable for upholstery in domestic settings) this is an incredibly resilient fabric but please note that if you have cats, or a dog that is a persistent scrabbler, then we recommend you choose one of our other gorgeous fabrics in case of plucking by sharp nails.

  • Exclusive Faux-Fur-Fleece Lining – soft and cosy, breathable and moisture-wicking. The cosy lining in our Snuggle Beds and Burrow Bags is knitted exclusively for Charley Chau to our exact specifications by a fabulous textiles mill in Yorkshire who we’ve been working with since 2010.

  • Deep-filled Luxury Mattress – key to comfort in any dog bed is the mattress and Charley Chau’s deep-filled mattress is constructed like a sofa seat cushion with internal baffles (wall panels) that minimise fibre-migration, to prevent unwelcome lumps and bumps from forming, even after washing. Designed to provide fabulous comfort and support over time and made in England with a polycotton casing and insulating hollowfibre inside.

  • Waterproof Liner (optional) -a soft, breathable waterproof fabric that acts as a barrier to dust, dirt and animal dander to keep your dog's bed hygienically clean for longer. This fabulously technical fabric is more commonly found on pillow protectors for humans in healthcare settings.

Machine washable everything with fully removable outer covers.

Outer covers, optional Waterproof Liners, and the deep-filled luxury mattress are all machine washable. Large size mattresses should be washed in a large capacity machine.

Washcare labels are stitched into every component part of a Charley Chau bed and blanket for ease of reference on wash days.
