A timeless classic - limited edition Greywash Rattan Dog Basket

Our limited edition Greywash Rattan Dog Basket, a modern take on a classic wicker dog basket. 

Good design never goes out of fashion and we love a Rattan Dog Basket at Charley Chau. Somehow, Rattan Dog Baskets are super-smart without being too "look at me". The Greywash Rattan Basket has deep sides and is rectangular with rounded shoulders so there are no sharp corners to bump into. 

The Greywash Rattan Basket is a great way to create a super-cosy bed for your dog, teamed with one of our luxe Day Bed Mattresses and finish the look with a lush Faux-Fur or Fleece Blanket. When ordering the basket with a Charley Chau Day Bed Mattress, you will receive 10% off the basket and mattress. If your dog doesn't require a deep-filled  Day Bed Mattress, our lightweight Travel Pads also work well as basket liners.

Rattan is a beautiful natural cane - strong, flexible and durable – that can cope with much more 'kicking-around' than the willow traditionally used in basketry in the UK and Europe. Rattan is also very easy to keep clean wipe with a damp cloth or take it into the garden and spray down with a hose pipe.

Available in two sizes: Small and Medium Plus ( see sizing tab below for more info). All of our Rectangular Day Bed Mattresses in the corresponding Small and Medium Plus sizes fur this basket.

Charley Chau Rattan Dog Baskets are hand-woven to the highest standards in Indonesia where most of the world's rattan is grown. Our Rattan Dog Baskets are the only products in our entire collection that are not made in England, simply because the expertise to make this quality of basket is not available in the UK.

Please note that Rattan Dog Baskets are not suitable for chewers

Rattan Dog Baskets are not suitable for dogs that like to chew dog beds or human furniture, or who may just like to shred random objects! If at all in doubt about whether or not your dog might chew the bed, do not allow your dog to use the bed unsupervised unless you are 100% confident they won't try to chew it.

Please note that these dimensions are approximate and 1-2cm variance in size should be allowed as this is a basket that is handwoven using natural canes.

  • Rattan Basket - 100% natural rattan canes. Rattan has a strength and resilience that is unmatched by the traditional Willow used in European basketry, plus Rattan has a brilliant lifespan and will last for years and years to come.
Washcare

The Greywash Rattan Dog Basket can be dusted with a soft, dry cloth, or vacuumed with a soft-brush attachment. Cleaned with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent if required. The basket can also be hosed down but please allow the rattan canes to dry thoroughly before putting it back into use. Avoid using any abrasive materials to scrub the rattan canes.

Free UK Standard Shipping is available on orders over £150. Worldwide shipping is also available for all products exclcuing any treats that contain meat or dairy ingredients.

This product is usually available from stock for immediate dispatch. We aim to dispatch all orders received by 1pm on Mon-Fri on the same working day.
