House Collars are lightweight collars designed to hold an ID tag - more comfortable for your dog at home than wearing a walking out collar.

Our ID Tag / House Collars are handmade to order by Petiquette Collars in a soft, supple calf leather in twelve lovely colours. Designed for your dog so that they wear an ID tag at all times, they work brilliantly as House Collars, and also paired with a regular walking out collar or rope slip lead. Designed to be worn looser than a regular collar and rather smart too!

Please note - we do not recommend leaving house collars on young puppies when they are unsupervised as they can get themselves into scrapes that adult dogs tend to avoid.

Sizing

ID Tag / House Collars are meant to be worn loose around the neck. Please measure your dog's neck and add 1" (smaller breeds) to 2" (larger breeds) to the neck measurement to for a loose fit.

Examples:

  • Neck measurement of 8", order a 9" House Collar.
  • Neck measurement of 14", order a 16" House Collar.

The sizes shown for our Dog Collars (e.g. 10.5" - 12.5" or 13" - 16") indicate the position of the first fastening hole and the last hole, not the whole length of the collar. Ideally the collar should fasten in the middle of the fastening holes when fitted correctly for your dog.If the size you require for your dog is not listed, please contact us for a bespoke order. Hand-crafted in England in genuine Italian Calf Leather – soft and supple, with a beautifully fine grain but strong and durable too.
Care Guidance

To keep leather in peak condition, use a good quality leather balsam or cream to clean and treat the leather from time to time. Avoid water (especially sea water) as this can affect the leather and the finish on the buckle closure.
