The Ducky Donut Dog Bed is now available in Weave II, our next-generation, high-tech upholstery fabric designed to deliver unrivalled performance. 

We spent six years developing our original Ducky Donut Dog Bed which we launched in Cosmo in 2017, and it has taken a further 7 years to find exactly the right fabric to take this luxury dog bed to yet another level. 

Supreme comfort is a given - a donut dog bed that wraps around your dog, calming and comforting, but one that will perform over time – the sides are filled with ethically sourced duck feathers so they can be squished and squashed but will always come back to shape. 

As experts in designing luxury dog beds, our attention to detail is unmatched - our Large size Ducky Donut Dog Bed requires over 45m of stitching to complete one bed, compared to just 3m of stitching for commonly available "calming" donut beds made to a standard industry design. It's this level of detail that delivers the long-term performance of the Charley Chau Ducky Donut. 

And now our luxe Donut Dog Bed is available in Weave II, our incredible next-generation upholstery fabric that is super-resilient, resistant to plucking, and with a Fibreguard stain-guarding treatment built in. 

A note on our ethically sourced feathers:

Our ethically sourced duck feather pads are made in England and our manufacturer sources the feathers that fill our pads from a Downpass certified feather supplier in Germany. This means that the feathers used in our pads are a by-product of the food industry and humanely sourced (i.e. not collected from live animals, nor from the foie gras industry).

  • Outer fabric in Weave II - next generation, hi-tech upholstery fabric that is pluck-resistant with a Martindale Rub Test score of 100,000 (suitable for upholstery in severe commercial use settings) and has a Fibreguard stain-guarding treatment built-in.
  • The Ducky Donut Dog Bed has donut nest filled with six individual duck-feather filled pads - your dog can squish and squash the bed as much as they like and it will still plump right back up to look good as new.
  • The round Dog Bed Mattress in the base is deep-filled with insulating hollow-fibre and constructed in the same way as our Day Bed mattresses with internal wall panels to minimise fibre-migration to keep the bed soft and supportive even after washing. The mattress can be lifted out and used on its own perfect if you are going away with limited luggage space - this is two beds in one.
  • Anti-Microbial Waterproof Bed Liners available as an option to keep your dog's bed hygienically cleaner for longer - barrier protection from dirt and moisture, plus prevents the growth of fungi, bacteria and other micro-organisms.
  • Fully removable covers (bed sides and mattress) and machine washable everything, including the duck feather pads and internal mattress.
  • Made in England with love.

  • Deep-filled Luxury Mattress – key to comfort in any dog bed is the mattress and Charley Chau’s deep-filled mattress is constructed like a sofa seat cushion with internal baffles (wall panels) that minimise fibre-migration, to prevent unwelcome lumps and bumps from forming, even after washing. Designed to provide fabulous comfort and support over time and made in England with a polycotton casing and insulating hollowfibre inside.

  • Waterproof Liner (optional) - a soft, breathable waterproof fabric that acts as a barrier to dust, dirt and animal dander to keep your dog's bed hygienically clean for longer. This fabulously technical fabric is more commonly found on pillow protectors for humans in healthcare settings.

Machine washable everything with fully removable outer covers.

Outer covers, optional Waterproof Liners, the deep-filled luxury mattress and feather pads are all machine washable.

Washcare labels are stitched into every component part of a Charley Chau bed and blanket for ease of reference on wash days.
