The Burrow Bag Dog Bed in velvety soft Velour – our dog sleeping bag version of the Dog Snuggle Bed, perfect for any dog that loves to sleep under blankets.

Our Burrow Bag Dog Bed has the same gorgeously cosy cover designed for our original Snuggle Bed, but we’ve added a slimline but comfortable Travel Pad base to make this bed convenient to travel with. Perfect for any dogs that love to burrow including short-coated hounds from Dachshunds to Hungarian Vizslas; Sighthounds, especially Italian Greyhounds and Whippets; and Terrier dogs who were bred to go to ground; and many more.

  • Small - approx. 70 x 58 cm - a good size for Chihuahuas, small Mini-Dachshunds, Italian Greyhounds, and smaller Jack Russells
  • Medium - approx. 80 x 64 cm - a good size for Boston Terriers, French Bulldogs, Pugs, Mini-Dachshunds, taller Italian Greyhounds and very small Whippets
  • Large - approx. 110 x 82 cm - a good size for average to taller Whippets, Working Cocker Spaniels, Standard Dachshunds, small Lurchers & Hungarian Vizslas.

Please allow slightly more room for your dog when choosing a Burrow Bag as Burrow Bags need to be slightly larger than a standard dog bed that a dog would lie on top of because of the stitched in blanket top.

Styled To Order Service

'Styled To Order' service is a special, made-to-order service for customers who would like a Charley Chau Dog Burrow Bag in a colourway that is not already available in our Core Collection. Core Collection colourways are usually available to for immediate dispatch.

  • We aim to dispatch each Styled To Order bed in 2-3 weeks from the date of order.
  • Each Styled To Order bed is cut and sewn to order by our fabulous sewing team here in England to the same exceptional standards as all Charley Chau beds.
  • Simply choose the perfect bed, size, fabric and colourway and place your order. We will then cut and sew the bed to order to create the perfect bed for your dog and your home.
  • Styled To Order Fee - a service fee is included in the price of all Styled To Order beds. This fee covers the increased cost of materials incurred when we order fabrics by the metre (approx. +30% compared to when we order our usual 40-50m rolls), as well as the time it takes to cut and sew an individual bed which is significantly more than when we are sewing large batches for our Core Collection e.g. to lay and mark out one bed for cutting takes only fractionally less time than it takes to mark and cut 100 beds of the same size.
Fabrics & Fillings
  • Burrow Bag Outer Cover in Velour - velvety soft, a beautiful upholstery fabric that is commonly found on smart sofas and armchairs. For those who like to know about detail, Velour is knitted, while Velvet is woven. Our upholstery Velour has a Martindale Rub Score of 40,000 (suitable for upholstery use in commercial settings) and eco conscious – this gorgeous fabric is knitted with polyester yarns made entirely from recycled plastic bottles! There’s a lot to love about Velour beyond the stunning good looks.

  • Exclusive Faux-Fur-Fleece – soft and cosy, breathable and moisture-wicking. The cosy lining in our Snuggle Beds and Burrow Bags is knitted exclusively for Charley Chau to our exact specifications by a fabulous textiles mill in Yorkshire who we’ve been working with since 2010.

  • Burrow Bag Mattress Insert - our slimline travel mattress for the Burrow Bag has a polycotton outer and is filled with a resilient 900gsm upholstery wadding that is commonly used to in upholstery for human sofas and armchairs.

  • Waterproof Liner (optional) - a soft, breathable waterproof fabric that acts as a barrier to dust, dirt and animal dander to keep your dog's bed hygienically clean for longer. This fabulously technical fabric is more commonly found on pillow protectors for humans in healthcare settings.

Machine washable everything with fully removable outer covers.

Outer covers, optional Waterproof Liners, and the Travel Pad Insert are all machine washable.

Free UK Standard Shipping is available on orders over £150. Worldwide shipping is also available for all products excluding any treats that contain meat or dairy ingredients.

This product is usually available from stock for immediate dispatch. We aim to dispatch all orders received by 1pm on Mon-Fri on the same working day.
