Our uber comfortable Day Bed Mattress is now available in our new Utility Collection in a tough, water-resistant Dry Wax Cotton Canvas - designed for dogs who love to get mucky and for spaces in your home where you prefer to dial down the styling but keep unrivalled form and function. This water-resistant Day Bed in Dry Wax Cotton is brilliant in boot rooms and utility rooms, as well as in dog crates or the boot of a car.

Our Dry Wax Cotton Canvas is a modern, hi-tech evolution of traditoinal waxed cotton - the textile made famous by the iconic Barbour jacket. Dry Wax Cotton looks like tradtional waxed cotton, and even takes on the patina of every day use like a trusted old wax jacket - but it is dry to touch and is machine washable too. Wipe with a damp cloth to spot clean and for deep cleans run it through the wash just as with any Charley Chau bed covers.

As with all of our Day Bed Mattresses, the internal mattress pad filled with insulating hollofibre and constructed like a sofa seat cushion inside with panels to minimise fibre migration - made to keep its shape and provide support for years to come.

A tough and easy clean dog bed - wipe clean or remove the covers for machine washing.

Deep-filled Luxury Mattress – key to comfort in any dog bed is the mattress and Charley Chau’s deep-filled mattress is constructed like a sofa seat cushion with internal baffles (wall panels) that minimise fibre-migration, to prevent unwelcome lumps and bumps from forming, even after washing. Designed to provide fabulous comfort and support over time and made in England with a polycotton casing and insulating hollowfibre inside.

Washcare

Fully machine washable. The Dry Wax Cotton Cover can be removed and machine washed at 30 degrees,. The interal mattress is also machine washable - larger sizes require a large capacity machine.

Yes. Unlike most waterproof fabrics and waterproof dog beds that rely on a physical coating to deliver waterproofing, our Dry Wax Cotton Canvas is fully machine washable. The fabric can be wiped clean or the covers removed and machine washed on a 30 degree wash cycle.

How do I clean a Dry Wax Cotton Canvas dog bed?

For everyday mess, simply wipe the water-resistant canvas clean with a damp cloth. For a deeper clean, remove the cover and machine wash on a 30 degree wash and dry naturally.
