Our Day Bed Mattress is a classic simple, stretch out mattress but key to comfort in any dog bed is what’s in the base and this is where a Charley Chau is different to the rest. Our Day Bed Mattresses have a deep-filled mattress constructed like a sofa seat cushion inside, with internal baffles to stop the insulating hollow-fibre filling from moving around. Your dog won’t ever have to put up with unwelcome lumps and bumps even after washing. Finished in one of our most technical upholstery fabrics yet – Faroe has the look of wool but none of the maintenance headache and is made to perform over time with a rub test score of 100,000 putting it firmly in the territory of severe commercial contract use.

Styled To Order Service

Our Styled To Order service is a bespoke, made-to-order service that offers our customers a fabulous, extended colour palette in our upholstery-quality fabrics beyond our ready to ship Core Collection colourways.

  • How long does it take? We aim to make each Styled To Order bed within 2-3 weeks from the order date.
  • Where do we make our Styled To Order Beds? Every single one is cut and sewn here in England.
  • How does it work? Simply choose your perfect colourway from the product page and place your order and we will create the perfect bed within 2-3 weeks.
  • Why is there a fee included in the price of Styled To Order items? Styled To Order is a premium service and the fee covers the additional costs of cutting and sewing individual beds as opposed to working in large batches. When we order fabric by the metre to make an individual bed and lay the bed out to cut, we ususally need to cut into more fabric than when we are working in large batches, and we are charged approx. +30% per metre compared to when we order our usual 40-50m rolls. The fee also covers the additional time taken to cut and sew an individual bed - significantly more than when we are sewing large batches for our Core Collection as to lay and cut one bed takes only fractionally less time than it takes to mark and cut 100 beds of the same size.

  • Day Bed Mattress Outer Cover in Faroe - the look and feel of a beautiful upholstery wool without the maintenance headache. Behind the stylish good looks are some serious performance credentials - a Martindale Rub Score of 100,000 (suitable for upholstery in severe contract settings) and a FibreGuard stain-guard treatment washed in. FibreGuard is manufactured without releasing harmful finishes or chemicals into the world and certified under the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®.

  • Deep-filled Luxury Mattress – key to comfort in any dog bed is the mattress and Charley Chau’s deep-filled mattress is constructed like a sofa seat cushion with internal baffles (wall panels) that minimise fibre-migration, to prevent unwelcome lumps and bumps from forming, even after washing. Designed to provide fabulous comfort and support over time and made in England with a polycotton casing and insulating hollowfibre inside.

  • Waterproof Liner (optional) - a soft, breathable waterproof fabric that acts as a barrier to dust, dirt and animal dander to keep your dog's bed hygienically clean for longer. This fabulously technical fabric is more commonly found on pillow protectors for humans in healthcare settings.
Washcare

Machine washable everything with fully removable outer covers.

Outer covers, optional Waterproof Liners, and the deep-filled luxury mattress are all machine washable. Large size mattresses should be washed in a large capacity machine.
Shipping

Free UK Standard Shipping is available on orders over £150. Worldwide shipping is also available for all products excluding any treats that contain meat or dairy ingredients.

This product is usually available from stock for immediate dispatch. We aim to dispatch all orders received by 1pm on Mon-Fri on the same working day.
