The perfect sleeping-bag style dog bed to keep your burrower as comfortable and cosy as caninely possible. Our signature dog bed, the original Charley Chau Snuggle Bed was the first design that we launched in 2010, and has since been tried and tested by happy canine customers all over the world. Our Snuggle Bed in Velour is finished in a velvety-soft Velour, a smart upholstery fabric that more usually found on sofas and armchairs, with a super-cosy Faux-Fur Fleece lining knitted exclusively for Charley Chau in England.

Velour Mole was launched as a limited edition colourway in 2025 and we are delighted to make this neutral a permanent colourway in our ready to ship collection.

  • Small - approx. 65x55cm - a good size for Chihuahuas, small Mini-Dachshunds, small Italian Greyhounds, and very tiny Jack Russells

  • Medium - approx. 80x60cm - a good size for Boston Terriers, French Bulldogs, Pugs, most Jack Russells, Mini-Dachshunds and taller Italian Greyhounds

  • Large - approx. 100x80cm - a good size for Whippets, Working Cocker Spaniels, Standard Dachshunds, small Lurchers & Hungarian Vizslas

Please allow slightly more room for your dog when choosing a Snuggle Bed as Snuggle Beds need to be slightly larger than a standard dog bed that a dog would lie on top of because of the stitched in blanket top.

  • Snuggle Bed Outer Cover in Velour - velvety soft, a beautiful upholstery fabric that is commonly found on smart sofas and armchairs. For those who like to know about detail, Velour is knitted, while Velvet is woven. Our upholstery Velour has a Martindale Rub Score of 50,000 (suitable for upholstery use in commercial settings) and eco conscious – this gorgeous fabric is knitted with polyester yarns made entirely from recycled plastic bottles! There’s a lot to love about Velour beyond the stunning good looks.

  • Exclusive Faux-Fur-Fleece Lining – soft and cosy, breathable and moisture-wicking. The cosy lining in our Snuggle Beds and Burrow Bags is knitted exclusively for Charley Chau to our exact specifications by a fabulous textiles mill in Yorkshire who we’ve been working with since 2010.

  • Deep-filled Luxury Mattress – key to comfort in any dog bed is the mattress and Charley Chau’s deep-filled mattress is constructed like a sofa seat cushion with internal baffles (wall panels) that minimise fibre-migration, to prevent unwelcome lumps and bumps from forming, even after washing. Designed to provide fabulous comfort and support over time and made in England with a polycotton casing and insulating hollowfibre inside.

  • Waterproof Liner (optional) -a soft, breathable waterproof fabric that acts as a barrier to dust, dirt and animal dander to keep your dog's bed hygienically clean for longer. This fabulously technical fabric is more commonly found on pillow protectors for humans in healthcare settings.
Washcare

Machine washable everything with fully removable outer covers.

Outer covers, optional Waterproof Liners, and the deep-filled luxury mattress are all machine washable. Large size mattresses should be washed in a large capacity machine.

Free UK Standard Shipping is available on orders over £150. Worldwide shipping is also available for all products excluding any treats that contain meat or dairy ingredients.

This product is usually available from stock for immediate dispatch. We aim to dispatch all orders received by 1pm on Mon-Fri on the same working day.
