Our luxe, deep-filled Round Mattress that our customers already know and love, but given a tough new exterior in our hard-wearing and water-resistant Dry Wax Cotton Canvas, part of the Utility Collection of high-performance dog beds.

The Round Dog Bed Mattress is the perfect bed for awkward corners and any spot where a rectangular bed takes up too much space. In Dry Wax Cotton Canvas, it also becomes the bed for muddy paws, wet walks, and dogs who don't know the meaning of "clean."

Our Dry Wax Cotton Canvas is a hi-tech evolution of traditional waxed cotton, made famous by the iconic Barbour jacket. Like traditional waxed cotton, our Dry Wax Canvas takes on the knocks and scuffs of every day use, softening to become worn and familiar like an old friend. Unlike traditional waxed cotton however, Dry Wax Cotton Canvas is dry to touch and is fully machine washable.

Inside, our sofa-seat-style construction with internal baffles to stop the hollow-fibre filling from shifting or clumping, so the mattress stays supportive wash after wash, year after year. And because this mattress is also the base of our Ducky Donut Dog Bed, you can add the Dry Wax Donut Nest sides later if your dog ever wants more of a cocoon to sink into.

Dry Wax technology means the fabric is dry to touch without the "tacky" feel of a traditioanl waxed cotton.
The internal mattress is deep-filled with insulating hollow-fibre and constructed in the same way as our Day Bed mattresses with internal wall panels to minimise fibre-migration to keep the bed soft and supportive even after washing and can be used as a bed in its own right.
A tough, easy clean dog bed - wipe clean or remove the covers for machine washing.
Internal mattress is machine washable too.

OEKO-Text Standard 100 certified as made with no harmful substances from yarn to finished canvas.
Ethically sourced feather pads in the Donut Nest so that the bed sides can be squished and squashed but will always come back to shape. Our Feather Pads have a feather-proof polycotton casing, and are fully machine washable.
Deep-filled Luxury Mattress – key to comfort in any dog bed is the mattress and Charley Chau’s deep-filled mattress is constructed like a sofa seat cushion with internal baffles (wall panels) that minimise fibre-migration, to prevent unwelcome lumps and bumps from forming, even after washing. Designed to provide fabulous comfort and support over time and made in England with a polycotton casing and insulating hollowfibre inside.

Washcare

Machine washable everything. The Dry Wax Cotton Canvas Covers are removable and fully washable. The internal mattress pad is also machine washable. Dry naturally.

For prolonged exposure to very heavy rain or submersion in water, it isn't designed to be fully watertight. This is a genuinely tough, practical fabric for dogs who love to get mucky.

Can you machine wash the water-resistant dog bed and its Dry Wax Cotton Canvas covers?

Yes. Unlike most waterproof fabrics and waterproof dog beds that rely on a physical coating to deliver waterproofing, our Dry Wax Cotton Canvas is fully machine washable. The fabric can be wiped clean or the covers removed and machine washed on a 30 degree wash cycle.

How do I clean a Dry Wax Cotton Canvas dog bed?

For everyday mess, simply wipe the water-resistant canvas clean with a damp cloth. For a deeper clean, remove the cover and machine wash on a 30 degree wash and dry naturally.
