The Smart Outer Cover

A stylish and understated look with this close fitting box-edged cover in a soft but hard-wearing upholstery grade fabric that is literally robust enough to cover human sofas and armchairs! As you would expect from Charley Chau the bed cover is also removable and machine washable and the zip closure runs around three sides of the bed to make it as easy as possible to remove and replace the cover when washing. Spare Covers are also available to order on their own.

The Waterproof Mattress Protector

Included with the Forever Hounds Trust Big Memory Foam Dog Bed is our most technical mattress protector to date. Waterproof but breathable, soft and elastic and also coated with an anti-dust mite and anti-bacterial treatment to discourage any unwelcome nasties from making their home in your dog’s bed! The protector keeps the memory foam inner hygienically clean and while the cover is removable and machine washable, it can also be cleaned in between washes with a pet-safe anti-bacterial spray!

The Memory Foam Mattress

The 4” memory foam layered mattress constructed with a 3” layer of memory foam bonded to a 1” layer of support foam. The memory foam moulds to your dog’s body giving amazing support, minimising pressure points and allowing your dog to sleep in their most natural and comfortable position. Our mattress is designed to support the weight of large breed dogs weighing up to around 80kg!

Please note that after the re-naming of Greyhound Rescue West of England to Forever Hounds Trust we are going through a transition period where the labelling on the Forever Hounds Trust Big Memory Foam Dog Bed will still have GRWE labels on the bed. This is so that we do not waste any precious resources, better spent on helping hounds in need, on changing the brand labels on the beds.

Sizing & Wash Care

The Forever Hounds Trust Big Memory Foam Dog Bed is available in our Extra Large size only and measures 130 x 100 x 10cm. Suitable for dogs weighing up to 80kg.

Removable outer cover

Machine wash up to 30 degrees and dry naturally. If required, iron on a low heat setting.

Waterproof Mattress Protector 

To maintain the cleanliness of this bed, the memory foam mattress should only be used when covered with the Waterproof Mattress Protector in place.

The Waterproof Mattress Protector is machine washable at up to 60 degrees. Dry naturally or tumble dry on a low heat setting. The Waterproof Mattress Protector can also be cleaned with an anti-bacterial cleaning spray and wiped with a damp cloth in between washes.

Memory Foam Mattress

The Memory Foam Mattress should only be used in conjunction with the high-performance Waterproof Mattress Protector supplied with the bed as the size of the mattress makes it impossible to wash! In the event that the mattress is soiled when not inside the Waterproof Mattress Protector, wipe the foam with a damp cloth and dry naturally before putting the Waterproof Mattress Protector back onto the mattress.
