Spare covers are brilliant to have on hand for wash days and a spare cover in our tough, water-resistant Dry Wax Cotton Canvas is fabulous if you want to convert an existing Charley Chau mattress into a more rugged style of dog bed - particularly great for use in boot rooms, the back of a car and in the garden on days when your dog is lounging around enjoying the warm weather outside. Please note though that Charley Chau beds are not designed for permanent outdoor use.

Dry Wax Cotton Canvas has the look of a traditional waxed cotton and "wears in" over time, taking on the patina of every day use to develop a weathered "live in" look. Yes. Unlike most waterproof fabrics and waterproof dog beds that rely on a physical coating to deliver waterproofing, our Dry Wax Cotton Canvas is fully machine washable. The fabric can be wiped clean or the covers removed and machine washed on a 30 degree wash cycle.

For everyday mess, simply wipe the water-resistant canvas clean with a damp cloth. For a deeper clean, remove the cover and machine wash on a 30 degree wash and dry naturally.
