We've raised £1,300 for Greyhound Rescue West of England!

We’re over the moon to reveal that we have raised a total of £1,300 for Greyhound Rescue West of England through the sale of the Charley Chau 2014 Calendar!

A huge thank you to all of our customers who submitted photos for the calendar (view the final photos on Facbeook) and of course to everyone who ordered a calendar in support of this fantastic charity!

The Calendars were launched in November last year and over the last two months we’ve sold 124, each one raising £10 for GRWE! The remaining £60 is made up of very generous donations from our customers!

It was great fun working on the calendar and we are so grateful to our customers and other friends for being so supportive of our project to raise money for GRWE - thank you!

A big cheque for £1300 is going in the post to GRWE tomorrow!

Our work with Greyhound Rescue West of England

At the end of 2011 we decided to nominate an official charity to support. We were receiving up to around twenty requests per week asking for donations and other help from charities but being a tiny business we just couldn’t afford to say yes to all of them. We were so frustrated at having to say no all the time that we decided to choose one charity and really try to do some good work for them.

We settled on GRWE for the work that they do providing rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing support to Greyhounds and other Sighthound breeds in need. GRWE is the largest independent Greyhound Rescue in the UK and last year re-homed over 500 dogs but at any one time there are still more than 70 dogs in their care that need a forever home.

Helping dogs like Nyla who is looking for a forever home

Beauiful Nyla is looking for a new home

One of our first projects for GRWE this year will be a very simple one – to share details of dogs like Nyla that are looking for a new forever home.

Nyla is a beautiful Greyhound girl who is currently in a GRWE foster home and coming along really well! Before being taken on by GRWE Nyla had never even met another breed of dog but she’s adapting really well and is getting on famously with her foster pack which includes two Collies and two Whippets amongst others!
