From super-yachts and royal residences, and now to your home
Most of our customers know Charley Chau for our beautiful collection of ‘ready to ship’ luxury dog beds, but since we launched Charley Chau in 2010, we've worked behind the scenes with a multitude of renowned interior designers and private clients on some incredible commissions to create unique, one-off dog beds based on our core design collection.
These projects include designing beds for multi-million dollar super yachts delivered to exotic ports around the world, cosy beds for indescribably luxe ski chalets in the Alps, dog beds for next-level boutique hotels, and particularly refined dog beds for royal residences in various parts of the world. All are designs and creations that we had great fun working on, and whilst we continue to be necessarily discreet around this aspect of our work, it's work that we are super proud of.

Over the last 6 months we have been beavering away, doing some heavy logistical planning to re-design our small business on the inside, and we’re now able to offer this bespoke service to all our customers, at what we believe is an accessible price. We know Charley Chau dog beds are a considered purchase for many of our customers but we do believe they are a sound investment in the comfort and care for your dog – an investment that delivers every day when our customers see how comfortable and content their dogs are sleeping in a Charley Chau.
Styled To Order choices in 60+ beautiful shades of colour
We are dog bed nerds and we've got a thing about colour - from pale and interesting to big, bold and beautiful - and we're delighted to make this selection of 60+ beautiful colourways available to our customers across our Velour and Faroe upholstery quality fabric collections.
Whether it's a bold and beautiful pop of colour, or THE perfect neutral, we've got it covered with our Styled to Order Service
Velour has a super-luxe look and feel - so soft to touch and eye-catching with it's timeless elegance and velvety lustre. The colour palette is luminous and intense, even in the palest of pales.
Faroe is a smartly understated affair with more muted, calmer colourways than Velour, but behind the simplicity of the look of a woollen upholstery fabric is the reislience of a fabric suitable for use in severe use commercial settings with a stainguarding treatment built-in, and none of the maintenance headache of wool.
Both Velour and Faroe are Charley Chau fabrics that have been tried and tested by literally thousands of our customers worldwide over the years m, and proven to deliver exceptional performance over time.
How Styled to Order Works
In the first phase of our launch of our Styled To Order Service, Charley Chau's signature Dog Snuggle Beds, Dog Burrow Bags and Spare Snuggle Bed Covers are now available to order in 60+ beautiful colourways. The colourways that are already available in our "ready to ship' core collectoins remain available for immediate dispatch - they are marked on our colour charts with a pink 'Core Collection' badge. All colourways available as a Styled To Order option carry the black Styled To Order Badge and those colourways are made to order and dispatched within 2-3 weeks.
Once you place your order for a Styled To Order Bed, we will crack on with making the magic happen. We aim to make each Styled To Order Bed as quickly as possible but at least within 2-3 weeks of the order date. And we’ll keep you updated along the way – after receiving your order, we’ll contact you by email to give you an estimated dispatch date, and to help with any questions you may have.
We plan to make all designs from our existing dog bedding collection available through our Styled To Order through the next few months. If you’re itching to have a Charley Chau in a design other than our signature Snuggle Bed or Burrow Bag in a Styled To Order colourway, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll do our best to help.
The Service Fee
Our Styled To Order Service prices published on the website include a service fee that covers the additional costs that we incur when cutting and sewing an individual bed. When we cut and sew beds that we carry as stock in our core collection we buy multiple 40-50m rolls of fabric at a time, but when we order fabric for the Styled To Order Service, we order the fabric by the metre, and our textiles partners charge us around +30% per meter. Additional costs are also incurred because it’s rather inefficient timewise to cut and sew one bed at a time – it takes only fractionally longer for us to mark out and cut 50 beds in one “lay” than cutting one bed on its own.
