Burghley Guess the Dog Breed Competition Results
We were delighted to take part in "9 for 90" organised by World Horse Welfare, the official charity of the Burghley Horse Trials this year. Our activity was a "Guess the Dog Breeds" competition - see the end of this post for the competition board and the answers - and we had a staggering 748 entries over the four days at Burghley!
We have spent every spare minute since last Thursday evening sorting through all of the entries and those who guessed all twelve dog breeds were entered into our prize draw. One winner was drawn at random and the lucky winner of a Charley Chau Faux-Fur Blanket in the faux-fur and size of the winner's choice is ... Paula Chapman! Congratulations to you Paula!
Our Guess the Dog Breed Competition that we ran at Burghley in support of World Horse Welfare. Answers are at the end of this blog!
A huge thank you to everyone who took part! If you were collecting the '9 for 90' stamps at Burghley and dropped your card in with World Horse Welfare then you will be entered into the separate draw for a hamper of goodies (regardless of whether or not all your guesses were correct for our competition) and the hamper includes a Charley Chau Double Fleece Blanket! Good luck!
And the answers are ...
- Labrador
- Schnauzer
- West Highland White Terrier
- French Bulldog
- Corgi
- Dachshund
- Poodle
- Greyhound
- Whippet
- Italian Greyhound
- Borzoi
- Great Dane
Please note that this competition was for fun so we did not take into account spelling or shortened versions of the dog breeds e.g. just "Poodle" for number 7 was fine along with variations such as "Standard Poodle" or "Toy Poodle" :-)
